Safe Healthy Accessible Resilient Equitable (SHARE) Schools
2026 SHARE summit
The SHARE Initiative officially launched with a two-day summit that brought together researchers, educators, school social workers and policymakers from across the country to reimagine what school safety truly means. Hosted by Arizona State University’s T. Denny Sanford School of Social and Family Dynamics, the event centered on aligning research, policy and community voice around Safe, Healthy, Accessible, Resilient and Equitable schools.
Participants explored how school safety extends beyond physical security to include belonging, dignity, mental well-being and justice. Through collaborative dialogue, attendees began shaping a shared framework grounded in evidence-based practices and community-driven insights — with one clear takeaway: doing nothing is not an option.
The summit marked the beginning of an ongoing effort to co-create research-informed tools and partnerships that help schools build environments where students can truly learn and thrive.
