Sabina Low, PhD

Dr. Sabina Low, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor at Arizona State University and Deputy Director of the Harmony Institute. She received her Ph.D. in Child Clinical Psychology from the University of Denver.  My work adopts a social-contextual framework to understand the role and influence of peers and families in shaping positive youth development in order to develop efficacious prevention and intervention programs. She has been a developer of Second Step, and along with colleagues, has developed and tested adaptations of Family Check-Up. In addition, I have been involved in adapting, evaluating or scaling Promoting First Relationships, Parenting Inside Out, Peer Learning, We have Choices,  and Second Step. My current focus is on the promotion of positive school climate, school belonging and academic engagement through the implementation of technology- and AI supported cooperative learning.
