Samantha Reaves, PhD

Dr. Samantha Reaves is an Assistant Professor at the National Center for School Mental Health and an experienced school mental health clinician and researcher. She provides technical assistance to school, district, and state leaders to advance school mental health quality improvement efforts. Her research lies at the intersection of mental health and education, with a focus on measure development and supporting our youngest learners and the teams that serve preschool settings. As a clinical-community psychologist, she emphasizes prevention and the importance of strengthening the systems surrounding children to promote well-being and improve policies and practices that support students’ socioemotional functioning.
