Ella Canada

Ella Canada is a senior at Arizona State University studying Family and Human Development with minors in Sociology and Justice Studies. Ella has been an undergraduate research assistant with the Positive Environments for Adolescents and Children (PEAC) Lab since the fall of 2023. With the support of the PEAC Lab, Ella is wrapping up her honors thesis with a fellow undergraduate, Lilah Kaplan, titled “Social Media and Adolescent Well-Being: A Systematic Review of the Positive Outcomes of Social Media Use”.

After she graduates in May, Ella plans to attend graduate school for Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She has a background in social work, following her internship with the nonprofit Everybody Matters, and hopes to continue building on these skills while earning her master’s. She hopes to continue working with children and adolescents in her career while learning a variety of therapeutic approaches.
