Catherine Bradshaw, PhD, MEd
Catherine Bradshaw, Ph.D., M.Ed., is a University Professor and the Senior Associate Dean for Research at the University of Virginia School of Education and Human Development. She holds a faculty adjunct appointment at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She has a doctorate in developmental psychology from Cornell University and her primary research interests focus on school climate and the prevention of aggressive behavior and school-based programming. She has led a number of federally funded randomized trials of school-based prevention programs, including Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS)/Multi-tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), and social and emotional learning curricula. She collaborates on multiple federally funded research grants and is the editor of the journal Prevention Science and senior associate editor for Social and Emotional Learning: Research, Practice, and Policy.
