Maggie Auza

Maggie is a senior studying Psychology at Arizona State University, with plans to pursue a Master’s degree in either Marriage and Family Therapy or counseling after graduation. She currently works as a student employee with the T. Denny Sanford School of Social and Family Dynamics and is a RA coordinator in ASU’s @HEART Lab, where her work focuses on youth, family systems, and relational health. Maggie’s research interests include the culture of divorce in America, the influence of social media on adolescent relationships, and the ways parental separation shapes adolescent dating behaviors. In addition to her academic work, Maggie completed an internship with Everybody Matters, supporting social-emotional learning and well-being in a Mesa-area school.Through this internship, she collaborated with teachers, staff, and faculty to promote positive school climate, strengthen student relationships, and help students with building social and coping skills. Her academic and professional experiences continue to shape her path toward working with youth and families!
