"The Sanford School has provided me with nothing but great opportunities. It is through programs like the Summer Undergraduate Program for Engaging in Research that I was able to realize my passion for research. Not only are the opportunities limitless within the school, but the faculty and staff are beyond supportive. I am so fortunate to have the opportunity to not only be a recent graduate of this school, but also continue my education in the Family and Human Development doctoral program."

Center for the Study of Guns in Society
This fund supports the Center for the Study of Guns in Society. This is a first-of-its-kind center, one that brings social science approaches to the gun debate to forge an inclusive, post-partisan forum for those across the political spectrum to engage, learn and elevate. With millions of Americans owning and carrying guns largely for self-defense while U.S. gun violence surges to alarming levels, now is the time to think across political divides and unearth new perspectives and new possibilities for better conversation and civic engagement. Private support for this fund will help start a different kind of dialogue that puts the power to set the terms of the gun debate back where it belongs: in the hands of the people.
