Our classrooms

The Child Development Lab offers age-appropriate learning environments where children are encouraged to explore, create and grow at their own pace. Guided by experienced educators and supported by university students, children learn through play, discovery and meaningful interactions with peers and teachers.

Classroom experiences include art, music, storytelling, dramatic play, sensory exploration, science activities, outdoor learning and early literacy and math experiences. Activities are designed to support children's social, emotional, physical and cognitive development while nurturing curiosity, confidence and a love of learning.

Each classroom follows developmentally appropriate practices that recognize children as active participants in their own learning. Teachers thoughtfully observe children's interests and abilities to create experiences that challenge, engage and inspire.
