Educator (CFLE)
There are two levels of CFLE
Provisional Certification
Requirements
- Demonstrated content knowledge in 10 content areas
- Not yet earned sufficient work experience to qualify for full status
- Available for up to 5 years
Qualifications
- Complete all required courses from the approved CFLE checklist with a C- or higher
- Graduation from ASU in December 2023 or later (must apply within 2 years of graduation)
How to Apply

- Read and sign the CFLE Code of Professional Ethics
- Application fee payment
Full Certification
Requirements
- Demonstrated content knowledge in 10 content areas
- Demonstrated sufficient work experience in providing Family Life Education
- 3,200 hours (Bachelors)
- 1,600 hours (Masters or Doctorate)
- Available for yearly renewal
Qualifications
- Complete all required courses from the approved CFLE checklist with a C- or higher
- Graduation from ASU in December 2023 or later (must apply within 2 years of graduation)
