*Requests for a room that will accommodate 100 or more attendees needs to be submitted at least one year in advance; due to high demand for conference space at the Memorial Union there is no guarantee space will be available even with advance notice. *Requests for multiple rooms, such as for a conference, needs to be submitted at least 18 months to 2 years in advance; due to high demand for conference space at the Memorial Union there is no guarantee space will be available.

Catering Request Information

Orders for 20 or less

  • Preferred advanced notice is 2 to 4 weeks; minimum 1 week advance notice*
  • Event coordinator determines quantity of food to order when necessary
  • Individual options are available for 10 or less, contact Gere for more information and to determine if possible

Orders for 21-30

  • Preferred advanced notice is 2 to 4 weeks; minimum 1 week advance notice*
  • Must come from a vendor or restaurant who can delivery to the room/location
  • Event coordinator determines quantity of food ordered

Orders for more than 30

  • Minimum advanced notice is 1 to 6 months, depending on the logistics of the event
  • Must use ASU Catering/Aramark, menus can be found at https://sundevildining.asu.edu/catering
  • Event coordinator determines quantity of food ordered

Beverage service (through ASU Catering/Aramark)

  • Preferred advanced notice is 1 week; minimum 3 business days advance notice*
  • Water, coffee, tea, sodas, lemonade (see Aramark menu for full options)
  • Event coordinator determines amount needed based on number of attendees

General information

  • Specific vendor/restaurant requests can typically be accommodated when preferred advanced notice is given
  • Specific vendor/restaurant requests for minimum advance notice will be accommodated if possible, otherwise will be chosen at the discretion of the events coordinator to meet the needs of the event
  • All requests and communications to vendor/restaurant need to go through the events coordinator, do not contact on your own as this can add confusion and possibly effect other orders already in place
  • If there are any known dietary restrictions consult with the events coordinator to see if they can be accommodated; most catering menus restrict what changes can be made. Vegetarian options are usually available.
  • Consult with the events coordinator on when the catering order needs to be finalized with the vendor/restaurant. Any changes requested after that date cannot be made. Catering requests made within the minimum advance notice timeframe cannot be changed once submitted to the vendor/restaurant.
  • A list of attendees (anticipated or actual) needs to be provided to the events coordinator no later than the day after the event.

*Note that the stated minimum advance notice is effected by University holidays and employee availability. Please follow preferred advanced notice to ensure that your catering request can be accommodated. Requests that do not at least meet the stated minimum advanced notice cannot be accommodated. Check with the events coordinator about cancellation deadlines for orders placed should the event be cancelled.
