Dawn DeLay

Dr. Dawn DeLay uses longitudinal social network analysis in her research on peer relationship dynamics in the school context. She is particularly interested in innovative applications of longitudinal social network analysis, including small network samples, observational data, positive vs. negative peer networks, and extensions to, and applications in, intervention and prevention science. Dr. DeLay collaborates with the developers of the RSiena program as well as leaders in the field of longitudinal social network analysis, including Dr. Tom A. B. Snijders (one of the developers of the RSiena program), Dr. Christian Steglich (co-developer of the RSiena program), and Dr. Rene Veenstra (research on modeling and understanding social network data as it applies to school based interventions). In general, Dr. DeLay is motivated by flexible applications of modern statistical methods to advance developmental and social science.
